Michael Bensinger- son of Frederick native of East Brunswick died 1855 at 57. He owned 75 acres. He married Kate Boyer daughter of Joseph Boyer. Michael Bensinger, son of Frederick, was a farmer in East Brunswick township, where he owned about seventy-five acres of land. He cleared that tract, erected a log house and barn, and carried on general farming the greater part of his life. He had the following children; Edward married Sarah Heiser, and both are deceased; William, deceased married a Miss Fister; Franklin B. is next in the family; Benneville married Caroline Fahe, and both are deceased, Fred Married Miss Bock and they reside at McKeansburg; Priscilla married Thomas Hartung, and both are deceased. Mr. and Mrs Bensinger are buried in the Steigerwalt cemetery in East Brunswick Township. He was a Whig in politics.

In the 1850 census the column "Person over 20 who cannot read or write is checked off for Michael Bensinger. He is listed with wife Catharine, age 51, son Franklin age 23, son Beneville age 21, and someone's wife Catharine age 23, their son John age 2 and an infant two months old. Frederick age 18 is also listed Parents: Frederick BENSINGER and Mary WEIMAN.

According to Catharine's Tombstone she was about 59 when she died. If this is so her birth date would be about 1798. This however would not fit in the birth order given in the American Boyer book. More research will need to be done to find out her birth date. I believe the birth order is incorrect. If she were the 7th child her birth date would be about 1807 which means it would have been imposible for her first child to have been born 1817.
