Bensinger Descendants'
"Notes"

This will be the page where I will collect miscellaneous notes from various researchers. I will keep them in the form they were submitted without attempting to correct errors or avoid redundancy. You may best use this page with the FIND command on your browser. Included here will be such things as Birth, Land, Court, Church, Marriage, and Death records. My goal is to keep true to the information as I have received it, including paragraph breaks and apparent errors in punctuation or typos. If there are ambiguous statements, it is suggested that you look up the original documents, using this as a guide to finding them.

Our sincere thanks go out to the many researchers who have contributed this data, past and present. It is in the spirit of their work that we hope to keep it alive through this medium.

Our previous records say that Elizabeth was born at an earlier date but may be in error. For Jacob, the date is one day earlier than we previously had.

The following information was also given by Mrs. Shoener in 1931.

The church at New Ringgold was built (not the present one) before 1800 and I am sure there will be found more concerning at least some of the branches of the Bensinger family as that is nearer Bensinger Valley than the Red Church. However, these records have not been translated and if you wanted anything further from them, you would have to get someone to translate from the German.
