Schock, 70, of Snyders New Ringgold, formerely of Freemansburg died Friday in the Allentown Hospital where he was transferred from Gnaden Huetten. He was the husband of Arlene A. Miller. Born in Freemansburg he was a son of the late Walter W. and Katie Bensinger Schock. He was a laborer at Heisler's dairy for 15 years before retiring in 1980. Survivng is a daughter Doris A. wife of George Yemm, JR of Tamaqua R1 and 4 grandchildren. Robert S. Nestor, Snyders is in charge of arrangements. Tuesday 13 July 1993 Arlene A. Schock , 62 of Barnesville R1 formerly of New Ringgold R2 died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hazleton where she was a patient since June 23. She was the widow of Norman F. Schock who died in 1983. Born in Andreas she was a daughter of the late George W. and Annie Marie (Fink) Miller. Surviving are a daughter, wife of George Yemm, Jr with whom she resided. Two sisters Fern E wife of Adam Snyder and Luella N. both of Andreas R1, a brother Calvin O. of Palmerton, four grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Robert S. Schock-67-of Ashfield, died Thrusday while fishing with a friend at Lake Ontelaunee in Ontelaunee Twp. Berks county. Deputy coroner Charles Sweitzer said Schock died of a heart attack at the scene along the lake shore. Feeney said he was stricken while getting a tackle box out of his car trunk. Born in Lewistown, Tamaqua R3 he was a son of the late William F and Katie E. Zettlemoyer Schock. Schock was the husband of Kathryn B. Miller Schock. He worked in the rolling mills division of Bethlehem Steel Corp from 1955 until retiring in 1970. He was a member of the Ashfield Vol. Fire Co, Andreas Vol. Fire Co, and the Petersville Rod and Gun Club Petersville. Schock, 77 of 217 E. Broad St., Tamaqua died this morning in Coaldale Hospital where she had been a patient for one week. ill for the past year she had been hospitalized intermittently during that period. Born in Delano, she was a daughter of the late WIlliam and Ida ( Geissinger) Depew and resided in this area all her lifetime. She was a member of St. John UCC and at one time was a Sunday School teacher of the church. She was also a member of the pilgram chapter order of Eastern Star 137 and the Hester Rebekah Lodge. Her husband Lloyd Schock, preceded her in death. He had conducted a meat market at 120 West Broad Street at one time. Schock, 156 1/2 Spruce St. Tamaqua died yesterday at 2:30 PM in Coaldale hospital where she had been a patient for five days. Ailing for several years she had been hospitalized three times during that period. Born in Tamaqua R1 Walker Twp. she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Rosa Daubenspeck Thamarus and resided in Tamaqua for the past 35 years having lived in Lewistown Valley previously. Mrs Schock had been employed by the Tamaqua Garment Co for 20 years prior to her retirement and was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union. Her husband Jacob M Schock died in 1950. Surviving are a son Maurice I. at home ; a sister Mary Bonz, 156 Spruce St; a grandson Ronald Schock of New Tripoli R2; two granddaughters Maureen Y. Cirocco, Coppersburg; Mrs Carole A. Tamaqua Evening Courier Friday 19 March 1968 Robert W. Schock, 72 of Grier City, died unexpectedly at Locust Mountain Hospital Shenandoah at 5:20 PM yesterday about six hours after he ws admitted. Mr Schock was born in Quakake son of the late Edward and Alice Whetstone Schock, and lived in Tamaqua before moving to Grier City in 1950. A US Army Vet of WWI he was retired and was of the evangelical faith. He was a life member of the Citizens Fire Co. and also was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Hazleton and the Lakewood American Legion Post. Surviving are three brothers: Russell, Grier City; Edgar; and Herbert Whetstone, both of Tamaqua. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Peter Taiko, with whom he resided. Dave, I am very confused with the obit for Charles Schock. He has a step daughter who is also to be the daughter of Norman and Arlene Miller Schock.
