The Bensingers in my family were my grandparents and I have not been able to find any information about them. Granny was Ethel Bensinger and her father was Alonzo Bensinger, he married Nancy Elizabeth Denton (aka Nannie). Very little is known about either family (Nancy seems to have been related to Lincolns mother and I may have a line back there) and all of the remaining children of my grandparents have no idea about the family. There is an idea the Bensingers were Jewish at one time....long long ago.
Any information out there? Alonzos father (we think) was Washington (wash) Bensinger
